Waist Sash
early 18th century (made)
Place of origin |
This sash (patka) is finely woven in silk and metal-wrapped thread. The borders of flowering plants are typical of the classic Mughal style, and a sash of this quality would certainly have been worn at one of the richer courts of North India.
