Black coat in fine black wool with Princess line and long sleeves. It is mid-calf length with a nipped in waist and built up shoulders, and the collar is formed by a panel which starts at the back with a narrow yoke and is pleated over the shoulders. The upstanding collar has gently rounded edges and at the front it is echoed by a second inner collar of white cotton waffle piqué.
It fastens at the waist and at the collar with hooks and eyes. The coat is half-lined including the sleeves in black and the front edges have taffeta interlining.
