This object is a booklet for the 'Exhibition Illustrating the Art of Miniature Painting’. It came to the museum alongside 96 miniatures, which are copies that were created for J.J. Foster to illustrate his publication of ‘Miniature Painters, British and foreign...', 1903. This booklet describes the collection of copies which were exhibited in 1908 at Dickenson’s Gallery, London, which was owned by J. J. Foster. The booklet as well as the 1903 publication are available in the National Art Library, V&A.
