Artist/Maker | |
Place of origin |
This length would have been cut into two panels with complementary designs to upholster the seat and the back of a chair. The patterns, in the fashionable Neo-classical style, are similar to ones produced by the firm of Camille Pernon of Lyon for the rooms of the Emperor Napoleon I in the Palace of Fontainbleau. This design was also woven on a blue ground.
