WARP: white wool: Z3S; 17 threads per inch (65 per dm).
WEFT: white wool; Z2S, 2 shoots after each row of knots; 10 knots per inch (39 per dm).
PILE: wool; 9 colours: red, yellow , light yellow, green, blue, pink, dark brown, brown, white (and probably other colours eg.g. purple? faded to beige); symmetrical knot tied around 2 warp threads; 85 knots per sq. inch (1268 per sq. dm).
SIDE FINISH: a web of 3 cords (increased to 4 cords after 23 cms. overcast with light brown wool.
END FINISH: Lower: immediately below the pile is 1 cm. of countered soumak in the same wool as the side finish adn then an incomplete fringe of 4 rows maximum of knots, 7 cms. inclusive of length. Upper: as above but fringe has a maximum of 3 rows of knots.
DESIGN: Field: blue ground with yellow and red lattice enclosing in each complete lozenge. 4 small yellow rosettes.
Borders from the inside: a) dark brown ground filled with white octagons each containing a flower head
2) red and yellow 'zeichur' pattern with colour change to green and white in lower border
3) blue and white 'zeichur' pattern
4) yellow and red 'zeichur' pattern
