Place of origin |
Sensuality and surrealism combine in this enamelled silver ring. The lips continue the theme initiated by Azagury-Partridge's earlier 'eye' rings. She has written 'if the eyes are the windows to the soul, by contrast the lips express the earthy, sensual side of life'. The choice of vivid red enamel, she comments, gives 'a slick, pop, erotic, more modern look' than an alternative pavé-set version of the ring.
In 2009, Azagury-Partridge launched a special edition of 'Hotlips' as a fundraiser for the Global Fund, which is working to eliminate AIDS in Africa.
