Since 1987, Beck's have commemorated their sponsorship of contemporary art by commissioning artists to design limited edition labels for their bottles, and early in the 21st century, a number of these designs were re-used as decoration for limited edition beer glasses. These interesting objects reflect the sophistication of branding in the late 20th / early 21st century, and also indicates the fashionable status of art within contemporary culture, representing the phenomenon of 'Cool Britannia'.
