Central panel: woven and brocaded silk and metal thread, twill ground and binding.
Borders: woven silk twill, many pieces, Hussein Kuli Khan type.
Central part: seamed across the middle. Dark blue ground with large botehs in offset rows, facing alternate directions in alternate rows. Each boteh is formed by s bifurcated flowering stem enclosing floral motifs. Inbetween each boteh is a disjointeed curving motif at the top followed by a roundel and then a floral triangular motif. There are about 10 shoots of metal thread at the top and the bottom, forming a border. The back of the fabric has been sized.
Warp: dark blue silk
Weft: dark grey silk
Metal thread: silver strip open S-wound on deep yellow silk.
Border; striped pattern
[1] narrow, pink ground with a small flowering stem and budding stem in blue with yellow, blue and green with white details.
[2] very narrow, dark blue ground with a trefoil in red, white and yellow
[3] wider, white ground with a serrated meander in blue and red
[4] widest, dark blue ground with botehs with a flame outline in yellow and red containing floral motifs with details in white, red, yellow and green.
The pattern sequence is 3, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4.
Warp: white, blue and pink silk
Weft: white, yellow, red, light green and black silk.
