This wax model is made by John Bell in England in the mid-19th century.

John Bell (1812-1895), born in Suffolk, was an English sculptor, educated in Norfolk and later at the Royal Academy, where he exhibited from the 1830ies up to the 1870ies.
Upon his important works are the 'America Group' for the Albert Memorial, the Wellington Memorial in Guildhall and the Crimea Guards Memorial, Waterloo Place.
