This portfolio was published by Atelier le Grand Village, a print workshop/print publisher in France, near Bordeaux. Its’ founder, Francis van der Riet, was born in Zimbabwe and studied in Cape Town before moving to France. His workshop specialises in lithography and for this portfolio, inspired by Cervantes’ ‘Don Quixote’, he invited a number of artists from France, South Africa and the USA to make lithographs there. Illustrating selected quotations from Cervantes’ novel, which appear as printed sheets in the portfolio, it features the work of 16 artists.
