S.143:1-2020
Brown, knee-length, unlined suedette smock with darker brown leatherette yolk and suedette collar. The tunic has an elasticated waist and is fastened at the centre opening with seven covered buttons. The long sleeves are gathered at the shoulder seams and are fastened at each cuff with two covered buttons. A printed label identifying the costume as being made by Angela Pieroni is sewn into the costume, includes her telephone number, and is inscribed with the name of the production and the actor: 'MATILDA TRUCHBULL HAYDEN TEE'

Brown textured tweed breeches attached to perished black elasticated braces, crossed at the back. Fastened by a left-side opening, secured by two large poppers and two hooks and eyes.

Sleeveless cotton shirt base with yolk section and curved hem, four button holes and three pearl buttons (lacking the top button). There is a button hole at the centre back of the collar to attach the detachable collar, and the lower edge is sewn with eight white plastic poppers to be secured to corresponding popper sockets on the padded body suit. Gallery rotation, 2022 COSTUME FOR MISS AGATHA TRUNCHBULL IN MATILDA THE MUSICAL 2018 The formidable Miss Trunchbull is the Olympic hammer-throwing headmistress of Matilda’s school, Crunchem Hall. In the Royal Shakespeare Company’s musical, the role is played by a man. New Zealand actor Hayden Tee starred as ‘The Trunch’ for a year from September 2018 and wore this sturdy costume. A padded undergarment provides the exaggerated female shape and menacing hump.
