In 2001, Louis Vuitton’s then Artistic Director Marc Jacobs collaborated with American artist and fashion designer Stephen Sprouse to reimagine the fashion house’s LV monogram. Sprouse’s distinctive style, incorporating pop and street culture, is reflected in the screen-printed Louis Vuitton graffiti design that 'defaces' the iconic monogram underneath. The Monogram Graffiti line was the first of many successful collaborations between Louis Vuitton and contemporary artists.
