Between 1781 and 1835 the New Hall China Works exclusively made tea-sets, indicating the importance of tea drinking to English society at this time. This is a tea service consisting of forty five pieces, including a teapot and stand, two sizes of cups for tea and coffee, saucers, plates, a sugar bowl, a milk jug and a slop-basin.
