Image shows a man in clown makeup performing on a tightrope, his trousers appear to have fallen down and a red parasol can be seen just above his head, having possibly been thrown into the air. A woman is standing below and to the left with her arms outstretched towards the clown. A third figure can be seen in the lower right of the image, bending down, holding a ladder that may have been removed from the tightrope apparatus. The building the scene takes place in is lavishly decorated with deep blue and gold curtains.
