Object history | In the accompanying exhibition booklet that came in with the 96 objects, Foster states that it is unknown who the photographic miniature is after. After reseaching the object, I came across the original 'Mary of Modena' miniature in the Royal Collection Trust, and it was created by artist Godfrey Kneller. Taking into consideration that the original owner of the photographic miniature is cited as having been H.M. The King, it can reasonably be assumed that Kneller is who this particular object was copied and printed after. |
