Object history | Found in the early 19th century in excavations at Stoke on Trent. Originally thought to have been 15th or 16th century. |
Historical context | A nearly cylindrical pot of similar ?, slightly glazed inside at the bottom, was found at High Street, Cheadle on Nov 14 1934 containing 900 coins of the reign of Edward VI and Elizabeth (photograph in department). |
