Two-handled vase and cover with ochre coloured bands around the body, foot, handles and cover. The jasperware medallions are surrounded by an ochre border of raised beading, in turn within a ribbon garland held on either side by putti. On the neck of the vase is a classical trophy of arms.

Vase and cover, painted earthenware with printed and jasperware medallions, designed and painted by Emile Lessore, made by Josiah Wedgwood & Sons Ltd., Etruria, Staffordshire, 1862
Physical description
Two-handled vase and cover with ochre coloured bands around the body, foot, handles and cover. The jasperware medallions are surrounded by an ochre border of raised beading, in turn within a ribbon garland held on either side by putti. On the neck of the vase is a classical trophy of arms.
