Nursery mug of earthenware. White body with deep cream glaze, straight sides and with ear-shaped handle. Hand-painted with 'MARION' in blue capital letters, and a stylised chick with yellow body, ochre legs, dark orange comb and eye, body outlined in blue; also green 'landscape' round base of horizontal sweeps and small vertical dashes. Blue line to rim and handle and yellow band within.
