Gallery label | Plastic pollution is now acknowledged as an environmental disaster. Some makers and designers use recycled plastic instead of new. The large bag is woven from discarded carriers found washed-up on the Australian coast. British brand Stella McCartney uses Ocean Plastic®, a fabric made from marine waste, to make this limited-edition backpack with all proceeds donated to Sea Shepherd, an organisation established in 1977 to protect aquatic life.
