Place of origin

Bushey Heath Pottery was founded in 1921 by Ida Perrin, and represents the continuation of 19th-century art pottery into the early 20th century, closing in 1933. Mrs. Perrin employed one of William De Morgan’s most talented artist-decorators, Fred Passenger, to champion De Morgan’s designs and techniques, despite changing tastes in this period and the growing appetite for simpler, modernist designs.
