Ballet Master Cecchetti is seated in his London studio, watching his pupils. Traditionally dance teachers used a cane to beat time. There was a set class for each day of the week and behind his chair is the list of classes for Saturday (Samedi). Cecchetti taught dancing derived from the Italian style.
