Louise Gray is an independent Scottish designer. Trained at Glasgow School of Art and Central Saint Martins, she is known for her colourful, bold-patterned fabrics, and her designs experiment heavily with combinations of textures. This ensemble comes from the I'LL TAKE IT collection, Autumn/Winter 2012. This collection focused on clashing graphic designs, including high contrast black and white pieces. The ensemble comprises a dress with a orange rubber printed sequin front and a black and white printed silk crepe back. The dress is styled with black and white tights and sleeves, black and yellow rubber boots made in collaboration with Polini and a human-hair headdress made by Nasir Mazhar.

Physical description | Dress, front is silver sequins printed with orange rubbercurve print design. The back is screenprinted dark blue and white silk. White tights and sleeves, printed with black geometric pattern. The sleeves have been made from a pair of tights with the toes cut off. Leather patent PVC boots, yellow with black geometric pattern. The ensemble is accessoried with a large semi-circular headpiece made from blonde human hair held together with shellac, mounted on a headband with metal hair clips and black and yellow spraypaint stripe. It is also accompanied by sequin earrings and plastic transparent bubblewrap gloves with a velvet ribbon trim. |
