Gallery Label
This collaborative work began when the artist Ron King sent the poet Roy Fisher a copy of Punch and Judy published by Routledge in 1860. Fisher reworked the text as a play which appears in this book, alongside extracts from the Routledge text and King’s illustrations and puppets. These have moveable parts cut out by King’s daughter and her friends. (June 2019)
