Cup and saucer of lead-glazed earthenware, transfer-printed in red outline and painted in enamels in the Chinese style. On either side of the cup is a group of Chinese figures in a panel surrounded by scrolls on a ground of red diaper-ornament. In the middle of the saucer is a smaller group and on the rim are four scrolled panels enclosing sprays of flowers on a border of red diaper-ornament.
