Mug of lead-glazed earthenware transfer-printed in blue enamel with a bust of Nelson on one side and H.M.S. Victory in action on the other side. Cylindrical in shape with a loop handle. On the front are Nelson's titles as follows: 'HORATIO LORD VISCOUNT NELSON VICE-ADMIRAL OF THE WHITE Knight of the Order of Bath Duke of Bronte in Sicily Grand Cross of the Orders of Ferdinand and of Merit, and Knight of the Imperial order of the Crescent'. The intervening spaces are filled in with naval trophies and flags, one of which is inscribed 'COPENHAGEN'. Two small medallions bear the words 'Trafalgar 1805' and 'Nile 1798'.
