The Central Line

Poster
2012 (published)
Artist/Maker

The poster advertises part of a series of Pocket Tube Map covers. The artist was interested in the diverse nature of the audience that this work would reach, and decided to create an image that would reflect the personal and intimate nature of the object itself, and would make people feel reassured about travelling on the Underground. Taken from a monoprint of a line drawing, both the use of a bird and the locations on tube line are deeply personal to the artist and is indicative of the deeply personal nature of her work throughout her career.
