Jug and cover of glazed dark grey stoneware. Ovoid body, short neck, mouth pinched up to form a lip, loop handle. Decorated with cream cameo figures applied in relief. On one side is the infant Bacchus carried in triumph by two cupids, and on the other a young satyr robbing him of his thyrsus while he sleeps beneath a tree. On the front is a boy playing a pan-pipe. Round the neck is a wreath of vine with grapes and foliage, and below the lip is a satyr's mask.
