'Metropolitan' slip ware jug, lead-glazed earthenware with slip decoration. Red earthenware, with decoration in white slip under a yellow glaze. Ovoid body with wide cylindrical mouth, portions of which, together with the loop handle, are missing. The body is decorated with heart-shaped devices enclosing stars and separated by chevrons, below a row of scrolls; round the neck is a row of stars.
