Sex

Leaflet
1985 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Fold-out leaflet with a blue cover and the word 'Sex...' in bold pink letters. Within the leaflet is information about how HIV can and cannot be transmitted between men. Considering the information was compiled in 1985 in the climate of fear and misunderstanding in the early days of the AIDS epidemic, the tone of the text is upbeat and sex-positive whilst also taking into account the reality that many sexually active people with multiple partners will inevitably take some risks as a matter of course so the advice is about mitigating risks rather than warning off any activities outright.
