Sleeveless black dress with white ‘V-neck’ trim designed by Mary Quant for Ginger Group. Designed in black and white this dress shows the bold contrasting colours Quant, and the 1960s, are widely known for. The donor, Thane Prince, purchased it in Peterborough. This provenance reveals another location in which Quant’s designs were readily available, especially through the Ginger Group, which was more widely distributed than Mary Quant for Bazaar.
