c.1985 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Breon O’Casey (1928-2011), artist of the St Ives School and highly versatile craftsman, was a jeweller of international renown and influence. From the 1960s to the 1990s his distinctive work, in which the natural beauty of a material was emphasised by use of only primitive techniques, was refined by his wider practice as an artist. Characterised by intuitive simplicity, his work has a timeless, hand-crafted elegance and a directness which many have attempted but few can match.
