The following description has been trasncribed from the register of 1900:
Mirror frame of carved walnut, partly gilt. The mirror section is covered by a sliding shutter of stained lime, on which is a figure of Ceres. The rectangular opening is bordered by a convex, fluted moulding surrounded by the following ornament:-
a) above a blank cartouche between two grotesque masks and two scrolled shields; on either side is a voluted bracket
b) at each side, a mask, a vase, drapery and leafy scrolls suspended from a central stem
c) below, a projecting moulding supported by a mask between two winged mermen holding shields.
The outline of each side is formed by a voluted bracket, profile animals masks and scrolls and the whole is surmounted by an entablature with an overhanging cornice enriched with a fluted dentil band. The figure of Ceres carrying wheat is walking to the left and looking back.
