6 rectangular cards (landscape format), 5 with areas cut out and 1 back panel, depicting the interior of an 18th-century printer's workshop. The sheets are designed to be inserted into a wooden peep show box to give a perspective view of a printer's establishment.
Panels 2, 4 and 6 have printed inscriptions: 'C. P. Maj.; A A; M. Eng. exc. A.V.'
Label with title 'Perspectivische Vorstellung einer Buchdruckhereij', partly printed in Gothic script, pasted to the reverse of the back panel.
