Place of origin |
Inspired by a medical experience, this dress is formed of linen bands which criss-cross bandage-like around the torso. It takes the form of a deconstructed star and took many weeks to successfully translate from a sketch into a complex three-dimensional dress. The asymmetrical pattern is fully worked out around the whole body presenting exciting and different compositions from each side, not just the front. The dialogue between the ordinary calico-like linen and the complex construction is a favourite subject of the designer.
