Pilgrim Bottle

Pilgrim bottle or flask painted with a female portrait on one side and a bird on the other side. The portrait is in side profile and depicts a woman with light brown hair tied up with a blue ribbon and a band of pink and white flowers. She has a blue earring and white robed dress with blue details. The ground is navy blue and she is surrounded by a circular border of flowers, leaves and birds. On the other side of the vase a bird sits on a branch surrounded by leaves and flowers. The foot, lip and two small round handles of the bottle are glazed in dark blue with gilded edges.
