Place of origin

The jug rises from its base as a tapering tube, ovoid in plan. Rather more than half way up, the body is confined to one side as a tapering spout which terminates in a tear-shaped opening. A tapering strip handle grips the spout below the opening and descends in the void created by the spout, being attached at the other end to a flat platform.
