Red PVC raincoat designed by Mary Quant for Alligator Rainwear Ltd in about 1966. Quant collaborated with Alligator between 1965 and 1967, producing a range of designs. This design was called ‘Mood’ and was featured in an advert by Alligator.

Object history | This object was acquired as part of the V&A's #WeWantQuant campaign. This was a public call-out for objects designed by Mary Quant. This was run as part of the preparation for an exhibition on Mary Quant 2019/2020 Mary Quant started designing for Alligator rainwear in 1965, a number of adverts can be found for this collaboration. |
