    This dress was designed by Mary Quant for Ginger group and retailed as part of the Spring Collection 1969.

    Information on the back of a press photo (part of Quant's archive) calls the design 'Cat's Cradle' and prices the garment at £6.1.0d. It states the design is available in sizes 5-13 and in multiple colour ways (Pink, Navy, Jade, Grey, White, Ecru, Green). It was advertised as 'a very easy, wearable, flatteringly cut dress in washable Rayon Linen trimmed with ecru lace, and lots of shiny ball buttons…….A real cool number!!' in the press release dedicated to the dress.
