Artist/Maker
Place of origin

In 1930s diamond jewellery the geometric ornament became much more rounded and three dimensional than had been the case in the previous decade. Here the angularity of baguette-cut diamonds arranged in rigid parallel lines is given a softness and fullness by varying the angles at which the bands of stones are set. This also increases the play of light within the diamonds.
