He wears a full black wig, a lilac waistcoat over a white shirt with a ruffled front and sleeves, with lilac petticoat breeches, white stockings and lilac shoes with purple bows, In his left hand he holds a wide brimmed grey hat, the brim covered with lilac plumes. To right, a pencil and watercolour drawing of the hat, with pencil annotations. Originally numbered 9, upper left hand corner, changed to No. 27. |
