The plan, colour scheme and sections identified in writing, suggest it was originally drawn as the ground plan for 'The Toy Bazaar' in Act I, Scene 1 of the musical fantasy Chin-Chin, produced at The Globe Theatre, New York, 20 October 1914. Based on the story of Aladdin. Book by Anne Caldwell and R. H. Burnside, lyrics by Anne Caldwell and music by Ivan Caryll.
