Costume design by Wilhelm for an Ancestor in Ruddigore. Watercolour drawing of a man in early 17th century costume, standing in front of blue drapery with a chair to right. He wears a black doublet and trunk hose, a black gown, a ruff and a high crowned black hat, and holds a walking stick in his right hand. Inscribed in ink, '1605', upper left hand corner, with costume details written at the right hand side, running from lower right hand corner to upper right. Signed and dated.
