Historical context | The sketches SD.394-SD.400 are connected with the publication The Holy Land Painted by John Fulleylove, R.I. Described by John Kelman, M.A., 1902 and with a series of watercolours and drawings exhibited at The Fine Art Society, The Holy Land from Hebron to the Lake of Galilee, March 1902 (exhibition no.246). This was probably number 47 in that exhibition and was a preliminary drawing for the watercolour reproduced in Fulleylove & Kelman, Pl.48, and also exhibited at the Fine Art Society, 1902 (26), titled The Rotunda And Chapel Of The Holy Sepulchre. |
