According to Rodney Searight: - `Bt Sotheby's, June 1970, £50, [for SD.359 - SD.362] including two others, [i.e.the six for £50 in total and then two were] subsequently sold'
Historical context
Eastlake travelled to Greece in 1818 in company with (Sir) Charles Barry, William Kinnard and Francis Johnson. He sketched prolifically in Athens for over three months, staying on there after his companions had left for Constantinople.
