Broadside typographical poster or playbill printed in red and dark green, advertising the Royal Circus at Kingston, 24 October 1857, illustrated with a woodcut image of Richard lll on horseback, fighting two armoured opponents. The playbill lists 'An Elegant Bouquet of Equestrian Talent!' including Miss Emily Cooke 'in an Elegant Specimen of Beautiful Equitation'; Mr William Cooke, jun, and his Noble Menage Charger, Emperor; Mr James Cooke 'Who will personate, in full and appropriate costume, an Indian Horseman of the Camanches, on his Wild Prairie Steed', and, to end the evening, Richard III, or, The Death of "White Surrey", as presented in 'its Unprecedented Run' of 94 consecutive night's at Astley's Royal Amphitheatre. Mounted on card.
