Object history
Susan Williams-Ellis's 'Cylinder' shape followed a trend for straight-sided forms, but took the style to startlingly new proportions. For the 'Totem' range she introduced relief-moulded decoration, thus avoiding the need for further decorative processes. The range was an immediate success, with competitors following in her footsteps.
