This dress designed by Mary Quant for Ginger Group in about 1965. It has a white ground printed with navy polka dots and two tiers of ruffles at the hem. The A-line silhouette used for this dress is typical of many of Quant’s designs in the 1960s. Jean Shrimpton wears a variation of this design in a photograph by John French, published in Vogue in 1964.
