Object history | Plaster jacket and mould of the face of Moses, and was probably made by Brucciani & Co. in the late 19th century. The mould reproduces the face of Moses which was made by Michelangelo Buonarroti in around 1515 for the tomb of Pope Julius II in the church of San Pietro in Vincoli, Rome. Given to the museum by The British Museum. There are three other casts of the face in the museum collection (REPRO. 1879-161, NCOL.593-2017 & NCOL. 610-2017). |
