| Object history | Rodier was well known for woven dress fabrics made from unusual yarns. He expanded into furnishing fabrics in the 1920s. |
| Historical context | Paul Rodier supplied some of the textiles for the luxury liner Ille de France. One of the few manufacturers to make 'authentic' Cubist fabrics, Rodier produced some woven abstracts designed by Picasso for the interior designer Jean-Michel Frank. |
