ILLUSTRATED BOOK 'A House of Pomegranates' by Oscar Wilde 1915

Jessie M. King's individual style led her to become one of the most successful illustrators and designers of her time. She produced this illustration in Paris, newly inspired by batik printing and the Ballets Russes. Delicate decorative effects were still present in her work but simple balanced design and strong colours began to dominate.
